First off, I'm aware Tradeshow is supposed to be trade show, every time I type it the red line of failure appears beneath it. But the truth is I like capitalizing the "T" and making it one word so deal with it. As many of you know the Magic Tradeshow is currently being held in Las Vegas. Many a street brand are there promoting, probably selling, and writing about the event. I was considering doing the same thing for Ninja Neishon, but after a really successful weekend I figured it was more important to work on new product design for all of you ;) So while the world attends Magic, I decided to attend Mexico. Started off exploring the Outlet stores down there looking for good deals on some new merchandise. It's pretty crazy how close to the border you can get without actually crossing it. It's no more than 20 ft. from the parking lot and it doesn't even look that intimidating. I can only imagine what it would be like seeing it everyday knowing that if you tried to cross it you would be arrested. I spent a fair amount of time exploring the Nike store among other brands. More for personal use than anything. But as I'm sure many of you know, when you are working hard on promoting your own brand it becomes somewhat of a personal contradiction when you wear a major label. Nothing in the outlet fit the quality I wanted for Ninja Neishon so I checked out the local flee market. I have a cool video of some guy singing karaoke, but I don't think I have time to upload it. I'm always amused by the marketing strategies of stores in these types of setups. You can walk along the same aisle and see a Chargers jersey for $50 and two stands later come across it for $39.99. You then go back to the guy who sold it for $50 and say you found it for $39.99 and he says he will bargain down to that. But you know you could bargain the $39.99 person down for more, but by that time you don't care anymore so you don't buy anything... or maybe it's just me. I walked to the border and got some really cool shots of the border patrol. But they ran up to me and made me delete my pictures. They then suggested I walk to the top of a bridge and take a picture from up there. So here is the cookie-cutter image of Mexico: All in all there was nothing I found for Ninja Neishon on that trip. However it did make me appreciate the factories I have supplying us now. There is a lot of new merchandise coming out soon for everyone. More shirts, some flannel, sweats, women's clothing etc. Be patient like Ninja, it will be here. Here's a picture of a pigeon. ninja. -Travis NN
